Caring for your precious fur babies

So you can relax when you're away

My Experience

Caring for your precious fur babies is my passion

Services

Tilly’s Pet Sitting Services offers house/pet sitting and a pop-in feed and fuss service.
Leaving your pets when you need to go away can be stressful for you and your pets. I look after your pets in your home. This gives your pets the security of being in a place they know and having a routine they are familiar with, and you the security of knowing your house is being occupied and looked after. This service is for dogs, cats, small animals, reptiles, birds and fish.
If you have to go out for the day, I can pop-in and make sure your pets are fed, cleaned, fussed and toileted.

History with Animals

I was bought up with a German Shepherd Dog from a baby to age 12, and when older, I walked dogs for my neighbours and helped on a local farm to bring in the cows for milking.
Later, I looked after a friends small holding which had dogs, sheep, chickens, geese, goats and turkeys. I have also helped with the showing of dogs at Crufts.
Recently, I have had experience of pet sitting for degus, ferrets, tropical tortoises, turtles and geckos.
I have shared my life with dogs, cats, rabbits, goldfish, budgies, guinea pigs and even a tarantula, and now have a flock of doves and a companion pigeon. I am happiest when I am with animals.

Qualifications

I have a current Canine First Aid Certificate.

After training for a year, I qualified as an Animal and Human Energy healer with the HAO (Healing Animals Organisation). I offer hands on and distance Energy Healing for both you and your pets. This promotes a sense of well-being and relaxation for you both and can help with reactive dogs.

Further training includes a qualification in HAOK9 Relax Massage which can be used alongside the Energy Healing to help with relaxation and problems with joints and muscles in your dog.

I am fully insured and have an advanced DBS certificate.

About me

A few years ago, I reduced my hours of paid work so I could volunteer at a wildlife rescue centre, and felt a sense of job satisfaction that I had never felt before. The thought of working full time with animals seemed a distant dream.
However in 2019, I decided it was now or never so I quit my job and was employed part time by the wildlife centre and took a part time office job.
At the centre I cared for a variety of our wildlife such as birds, hedgehogs, rabbits, rodents and reptiles. We assessed medicated, cleaned and fed the animals and made them as comfortable and stress free as possible to help them heal so they have every chance to return to the wild.
My favourite time was in the spring time when we had a huge influx of demanding orphaned baby birds to feed. I also home reared orphaned hedgehogs and rats. It’s hard work, but seeing an animal recover and go back into the wild is a special and satisfying feeling.
During this time, I researched pet sitting and dog walking and decided I had the right experience in animal care, business management and customer care. Tilly’s Pet Sitting Services was started. I have loved every minute of it since.

Katherine was so kind and helpful. I needed someone to care for my dog whilst I attended my father’s funeral.  I didn’t know anyone in the area who could help as I don’t live locally.  Katherine went over and above to help as much as she could and I felt totally confident leaving my dog with her.  She was totally brilliant and on such an emotional day it was such a relief to know my dog was being well cared for.  I am so grateful and cannot recommend her highly enough.
